Diggin up Marilyn?

Read this story... Monroes death investigator from 1962 says we should dig up Marilyn and use modern technology to determine how the movie star actually died. Hmmm...something tells me the Kennedy's are gonna intervine somehow on this one...

RIZE rules

In 1992, Tommy Johnson (Tommy the Clown) created a dance he called "Clowning" as his response to the Rodney King riots. As the dance has evolved, it has been renamed "Krumping." It is a phenomenom in South Central, Los Angles, and is about to spread across the nation.
What sets this dance form apart from others is that it is essentially artistic, something you might see performed in theatres. It is an urban take on traditional African dances. It is also an answer to gangs and street hustling.

The kids form dance troupes, paint their faces as if they were African warriors, then meet to compete or to work on their movements and style. As the performers become more involved with Krumping, it usually becomes a positive force in their lives and becomes a part of their personal identity, a method of expressing their frustration with racism, modern urban life, and their youth.

Who You'll See Tommy the Clown, Lil Tommy, Larry, Lil C, Dragon, Tight Eyez, Baby Tight Eyez, Miss Prissy, Swoop, El Nino, Daisy, Big X, La Nina, Quinesha.

How to Get Ahead in Advertising

Bruce Robinson's "How to Get Ahead in Advertising" is a witty British film all about a man's struggle to move ahead in the advertising industry while going INSANE dreaming up creative concepts to sell acne cream. The movie is excellent and I am sure you will be entertained. Also, I love the Andy Warhol-esque cover! how cool is that!

Insect Wallpaper!?

Here is a cool link from Genevieve Kelly:

Here is some interesting wallpaper - made from real insects! FibreArts magazine writes about the "current trend for wallpaper to be thoughtful and interactive. In her article, she discusses a number of artists who are using wallpaper to cross the boundaries between decoration and expression by embedding surprising images within traditional patterns and challenging viewers’ expectations. Among the artists included is Jennifer Angus. In museum settings, Angus uses real insects to create beautiful and intricate patterns inspired by wallpaper and textiles."
